1. Our Commitment
Accessibility is part of how we build. We design and test this site to conform, as closely as reasonably possible, to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard referenced by the ADA and Section 508 — and we treat accessibility as an ongoing practice, not a one-time check.
2. What We’ve Done
| Area | What’s in place |
|---|---|
| Color & contrast | Text meets or exceeds WCAG AA contrast (4.5:1 body, 3:1 large text) on both our light and dark sections; content is not conveyed by color alone |
| Keyboard | Navigation, forms, and interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard, with visible focus states |
| Structure | Semantic headings (one H1 per page), landmarks, lists, and labeled form fields for screen readers |
| Images & media | Meaningful images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive tech |
| Motion | Animated content (including the homepage slider) does not flash, respects the “reduce motion” setting, and its key information is also available as static text |
| Responsive & zoom | Content reflows and stays usable on small screens and at up to 200% zoom |
| Forms | Clear labels, required-field indicators, error messages, and accessible dropdown controls |
3. Measures & Tools
We evaluate accessibility using automated tools (such as axe) alongside manual keyboard and screen-reader checks on desktop and mobile, and we address issues found during regular reviews and after any significant change to the site.
4. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some third-party components embedded on our site (for example a donation-processing field, a video player, a social media embed, or analytics) are controlled by outside providers and may not be fully accessible, and some older content may lag the current standard. We choose vendors with accessibility commitments wherever possible and pass concerns through to them. Where a barrier exists, we will provide the information or complete the task for you by another means on request.
5. Get Help or Report a Barrier
If you have trouble using any part of this site, or you need information in a different format, please contact us and we will respond promptly, help you directly, and prioritize a fix:

6. Standards & Updates
This statement reflects a goal of WCAG 2.1 AA conformance. It was last reviewed on the date shown above and is updated as our programs and platforms grow — accessibility work is never “done,” and this commitment travels with them.
