Business Support

HigherSelf’s business support program helps Newark community members start, strengthen, and grow a business — through business planning, mentorship from established owners, and connections to partners and funders.

Who it’s for

Aspiring entrepreneurs with an idea, and existing business owners who need the next push — planning, mentorship, funder connections, or a wider network. If you’re building something in or for the community, this program is for you.

What the program includes

  • Business planning for new entrepreneurs
  • Mentorship from established owners
  • Networking events across the community
  • Connections to partners, funders, and neighbors

How it works

Share where you are through the Get Help form or by texting HELP to (888) 893-7838. A HigherSelf business support coordinator follows up and connects you to business planning, mentorship from established owners, networking events, and — when it fits — the HigherSelf Network for ongoing partner and funder connections.

What it costs

Free or low-cost. If cost is the reason you have not reached out, reach out anyway and we will work it out with you.

We help people build. Spark House is one example.
